The Warriors beat the Mavs!

BELIEVE. If you are up against the number one team, most often than not, people will write you off at one. That you can’t win against them. The Golden State Warriors seem to prove that: Yes, we can beat them, all we have to do is believe that we can and play the best we can. And that they did. The Golden State Warrios have beaten the Dallas Mavericks, 111-86, to move on the next round. This is the third time an eight seeded team has beaten the number one team on the NBA.

Hard work does really pay off. Stephen Jackson scored 33 points with a record seven 3-pointers, and an injured Baron Davis played and even scored 20 points. The team really has that will to win and be the best team they can to move on the second round of the NBA Playoffs.

Good Luck Warriors!emoticon

The clay streak continues

72 is the magic number!

Rafel Nadal wins his 72nd consecutive victory on Clay. He also wins his third straight Open Seat Godo title defeating Roberto Canas of Argentina, 6-3, 6-4. This makes him in the league of Mats Wilander, Roy Emerson and Manuel Orantes who have won in Barcelon three times. This is Nadal’s second straight final. He also improves his head-to-head game against Canas to 3-0.

Struggling Yankees

The New York Yankees is undeniably struggling this season. They just lost to the Toronto Blue Jays a few minutes ago. That’s a 6-game losing streak. Alex Rodriguez may be on fire but the Yankees bullpen is failing their offense. The Yankees bullpen has blown seven saves and two of these seven come from the great Mariano Rivera. Mike Mussina and Carl Pavano are still on the disable list due to injuries; Igawa is struggling, as well as other Rookie pitchers; Chien Mae Wang just came back from an injury and is still now 100%. Andy Petite seems to be the only go-to-guy for the Yankees but his efforts would not still be enough if the Bullpen continues to pitch the way they pitch right now.

Let’s jut hope the offense would not struggle this time and the bullpen step up!

Go Yankees! emoticon

A-rod does it again!

Alex Rodriguez might have just got the Yankee fans support with his walk-off grand slam a few weeks ago but his hard work does not end there. Again, he helped Igawa to earn his first major win against the Cleveland Indians. A-rod’s home run marked his ninth home run this season. Jason Giambi also delivered a home run to lift the Yankees past the Indians.

This is the second time that Alexa Rodriguez and Jason Giambi had a home run to help Igawa earn his wins. The first was up against the Baltimore Orioles–a come from behind win. And now a win against the Indians. It also marks the first consecutive homers of the New York Yankees this year.
