The Best do Fall.

Judges’ favorite, Melinda Doolittle has been eliminated on American Idol. Melinda is probably the best American Idol vocalist ever and the best this season. But having the best vocals, rave reviews and being the judges’ favorite, as well as a clear winner could not help her move to the next round and be in the final two.

This is not new on American Idol. Several contestants, despite having the best vocals and being the clear judges’ favorite does not guarantee them a win on American Idol. It certainly comes down to the votes. Well, it seems like Melinda fans were confident enough that Melinda will go through the next round after Simon made his comment that he wants to see Melinda on the Finale. Hmmmm, I guess America did not listen to Simon.

But of course, we still have the two, Blake Lewis and Jordin Sparks. They are very much deserving as well. And, both are different performers. The only question is: Who will America love and Who will they vote for?

Good Luck!

Lakisha is Out!

It was a tough night taking on the Bee Gees for the American Idol Top 4. Melinda had her moments but the judges were not jumping up and down. Jordin had a great first song. The judges were really amazed by her performance but finds the second performance terrible. Simon even called it Pageanty, Rand and Paula thought she sounded pitchy. Blake and Lakisha really had the toughest night. Lakisha was struggling with the up-tempo song and a couple of notes with the ballad. Blake, on the other hand, got Randy tired of the beat-boxing.

Only one of them will be out.

45 million votes cast and early favorite Lakisha Jones has been eliminated. emoticon

Final 3! Who will be the next American Idol?

An abrupt ending!

24 is known for all "to be continued" endings and abrupt deaths. Last night’s episode (Ep. 6x21) might not be the kind of abrupt ending they usually have but it’s about another character’s abrupt end–death. We were just simply shocked when President David Palmer got shot, Tony Almeida stabbed and Michelle Dressler bombed. All deaths were quick and unexpected. The show has showcased these kind of deaths once again. But, pointed only to a particular character and recurring one. Any guesses yet?

SPOLIER ALERT!!!

(drag mouse to read)

[SPOILER START] When Cheng’s men successfully attacked CTU and held them hostaged, the leader of the group asked who was the head of CTU, well, obviously the acting director is Nadia…however, Milo presented himself as the director of CTU. While walking towards the lead Chinese small army man, BANG! Shot in the head! Milo has just been killed!!![SPOILER END]

Shocking, huh? I did not even expect that to happen nor did it came to mind. 24 is really good at this! But, as to why that person died? Not sure. Maybe it was just something they wanted to do? Or, do we get our answers in the next episode?

As far as the plot goes, Daddy Bauer is back. Marilyn and Josh are back as well. Sec. Heller took Audrey with him and has a TRO against Jack. Doyle is out in the field. And what’s with Josh? What do they want with this young lad? Could he be Jack’s son? emoticonA lot of questions, few episodes to go. Can Jack finish this on time? Or does he need more time?

Two get eliminated

Last week, American Idol reveals the most shocking result show in the history of American Idol: NO ONE GOT ELIMINATED! Tonight, two of the six American Idol finalists will be eliminated.

Despite rave reviews from Randy and Paula, Phil Stacey gets the boot tonight. The same goes with Chris Richardson. Simon was not sure his performance the other night would guarantee his safety and he was right. America agrees that Chris wasn’t good enough. This leaves Blake Lewis the only guy in the top 4.

Four left. Who will be out next? emoticon

Finally!

American Idol is known for a lot of shockers. Tonight’s Idol results had a couple of shockers. Take for example, Blake Lewis, who delivered a great performance last night, was in the bottom 3. And, Lakisha Jones, one of the judges’ favorites was in the bottom 2.

It’s more shocking to see Blake Lewis in the bottom 3 though because he was one of the idols that delivered a great performance last night. It should have been another person. But, the only thing that might have shocked American is: Sanjaya got eliminated! Well, it’s not a shocking moment like when Chris Daughtry got the boot but it’s shocking in a way that FINALLY IT HAPPENED!

Good Bye Sanjaya! emoticon

It’s not yet over.

The 17th hour of 24 seems to be the one that ended the nuke attacks. With Fayed and his men dead, will there be another attack? Is it really over. Well, for the mean time, it seems it’s really over. The Nuclear attack story line, I mean. But what’s next? If it’s really over, can Jack have a nap now? As the end of episode 17 reveals…Well, Hell NO! He can’t! The supposedly killed/murdered Audrey is back! She is alive! But the Chinese have her. Mr. Cheng, the one who took Jack last season, now, has Audrey!

So, what does the Chinese man want? What’s next for Jack?

Stay tuned! emoticon

The Fro Patro is out!

It seems like everyone wants Sanjaya eliminated from American Idol but after last night’s voting, most people want him to stay. Yet again, he survives and someone has fallen again. The Fro Patro, Chris Sligh was eliminated tonight. With him in the bottom three is Phil Stacy and Haley Scarnato.

During the performance night, the judges agree that Chris Sligh’s performance wasn’t good enough. Paula and Randy thought that he was out of beat but still had a good vocals. Simon, on the other hand, though it was a mess. Same goes with Haley. They thought she was boring, forgetable and safe. In contrast, Phil had the judges on his side.

So, where’s Sanjaya? The person people expected to be in the bottom three and get eliminated? Well, it seems America really loves the guy. And, his performance wasn’t as bad as his previous performances. So maybe, he’s given another chance (again).

Who’s gonna be next?

Sanjaya lives, Brandon fails!

Last night, American Idol said goodbye to background singer Brandon Rogers. Forgetting his lyrics and a weak performance of "You Can’t Hurry Love" might be reason why he did not receive enough votes to carry him on to the next round. On the other hand, despite grueling comments from the judges, Sanjaya Malakar, 17, managed to get enough votes that shocked some of the audience and the viewers at home.

Although Brandon’s departure might not be as shocking as Daughtry’s elimination, some people believe that Sanjaya deserved the boot. However, charm and charisma might have also been a factor for Sanjaya’s survival, plus, his Hair!
